Lastly, I loved learning about
the famous Ernest Hemingway. I've never read any of his
works up until this class. I always knew he was very famous for his writings.
I appreciated this lecture because it was interesting learning about Hemingways life
and looking up famous quotes he said. He once said in his short story book,
“Men Without Women”,
“The most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of loving someone too much
and forgetting that you are special too.”.
What I gathered from this quote was that some people make their relationships
their only source of happiness. In time, when things end up going wrong
and these two people, in the relationship, end up separating there is always one person
who is extremely upset because they don't know what happiness is outside
of their romantic relationship.
